“YCWT is the perfect intersection of creativity, community and fresh air!
Marianne’s beautiful words and weekly prompts have helped me look at my neighbourhood with fresh eyes and I feel more in tune with the subtle shifts of the seasons. I love seeing windows into other people’s lives around the world through the community.
The quarterly workshops were such a great bonus and Marianne pours so much care and attention to the whole YCWT experience. Thank you Marianne!”

A Year of Creative Mindful Walking Tours
A 52-week mindful walking adventure with creative prompts, reflections and audio guides… plus a caring collective of fellow walkers from around the globe.
We’ll walk our way towards a more present, embodied and creative life!
What’s a Creative Mindful Walking Tour?
A Creative Walking Tour is a fresh and mindful way to go for a walk. Instead of counting steps or fiddling with our phones, we get out of our heads and into the fresh air by adding intention, presence and a generous sprinkle of joy.
Why do Creative Mindful Walking Tours feel so good?
- They’re a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with nature, your surroundings and yourself. When mindfulness meets physical activity, it can be a holistic transformative process.
- By tuning into your senses, you can feel more connected to the present moment.
- The act of heading outside and paying attention can be a catalyst for inspiration, meaning you can get creatively unstuck!
- They soothe the soul and your central nervous system, making you feel better equipped to cope with everything on your plate.
- You start to see that you don’t need to wait for motivation to feel good. The secret is that taking action, however big or small, is what sparks a change.
“The format of YCWT is beautifully simple: walk with a prompt and then, if you’d like, share about it.
Over the last two years, Marianne’s YCWT prompts have become an anchor for my week. I look forward to her emails each Sunday — when I open them I feel as if I am unwrapping a gift, one I know I will savor throughout the week.
Her invitations inspire me to joyfully observe and explore the beauty and wisdom around me, whether I’m walking through a parking lot or meandering along a favorite trail.
I love the sense of connection that has emerged among the group of participants as we post and share about our walks from around the world. Marianne gives with remarkable generosity and, week after week, her beautifully designed prompts continue to spark my creativity and deepen curiosity and awareness.
I can’t wait to sign up for my third year of YCWT!“

Meet Your Guide
Bonjour! I’m Marianne de Kleer, a Certified Sophrologist living in the French countryside. My life has been transformed by Creative Walking Tours; they revamped my creativity and have made me feel more grounded and present in my everyday life.
After helping over 1000 people discover the delights of Creative Walking Tours in my week-long challenges, they asked for more. So, I created this year-long experience for 2022 and have been running it ever since!
I’d love to have you join us!
Here’s how it works
1. You’ll receive an email every Sunday that contains our weekly intention, instructions for your walk, journal prompts, and creative activity ideas. You’ll also receive weekly audio recordings through a private podcast.
2. You go out for your walk(s) – the location, duration and frequency are entirely up to you!
3. You and your fellow Creative Walking Tourists can share your photos and reflections from your walks in our private Facebook group.
In order to bring a sense of spaciousness to this practice, some freestyle integration weeks will be scattered throughout the year, giving you the opportunity to further explore past prompts or come up with some of your own!
What You Receive
- 52 weekly emails – each includes a weekly intention, walking instructions, journal prompt and ideas for creative reflection.
- Private podcast audio recordings that you can listen to on your walks through your podcast app.
- Welcome pack with everything you need to get prepared for our year together.
- Creativity pack with ideas for creative activities to do after your walks
- Journal pack for you to print out or type in
- Access to our private Facebook group, where all participants can share their discoveries, be inspired, and encourage each other.

More About Marianne
I’m a Certified Sophrologist, cheese-lover, avid cat owner, and Canadian living in the French countryside. I’m passionate about helping people explore their internal world so that their outer world becomes an expression of vibrant living.
Vibrant living – to me – comes down to this: living your most meaningful life with ease, finding (and cultivating) delight, and slowing down enough to appreciate the beauty around you every day.
And what better way to do that than on a Creative Walking Tour?
Questions You May Have
When do we begin?
We start on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 – I’ll send your first weekly email at 9:00 am CET (Paris time) on Sunday, December 29, 2024. This will allow you to start your week and your year with the intention in mind. You can share your photos and reflections using the weekly hashtag on our Facebook group.
Can I join at any time during the year?
Yes! I have decided to keep the YCWT doors open. No matter when you join, you’ll get 52 weeks of material. So if you start on week 15, you’ll go through the whole year and into the next year until week 14. If you select monthly pricing, you will receive the emails until the end of the year.
How much time do I need?
You decide how often you go out for a walk and how much you share in the private Facebook group. You can choose to go out for a 10 or 20-minute walk or a 2-hour hike. You may also find yourself carving out Creative Walking Tour time as you run other errands!
What happens after I sign up?
You’ll receive an email containing your Welcome pack that tells you everything you need to know to prepare for our adventure. It also contains an invitation to join our private Facebook group.
Then when we officially begin, look out for our Week 1 email on December 29.
Top tip: Be sure to add marianne [at] mariannedekleer.com to your address book to make sure you receive my emails.
Do I need any equipment?
You will need a pen, paper or notebook, camera and something with which you can listen to audio recordings (a smartphone will do just nicely if you have one!). Figure out how you will carry said supplies. If it’s too hot to wear something with pockets, I use a cross-body tote so that I can have my hands free.
And, of course, appropriate footwear for the weather!
Do you offer refunds?
As this is a digital offering, I do not offer refunds, so please invest with intention.
I have another question.
Please email me anytime, I’m here to help!

Testimonials
“Suddenly my world has opened up again and there’s a newfound beauty all around.
Not only does each intention spark inspiration, I love how the community shares their experiences and photos of their vibrant worlds. The creative prompts shine a new energetic light in every step we take outside.”
– Vesna | New York, NY, USA
“Creative Walking Tours have given me the ability to ‘retreat’ daily.
I was able to see new perspectives within my existing environment. Marianne’s direction had me tapping into dormant avenues of creativity and giving new inner life.”
– Lindseigh | Langely, BC, Canada
“A journey that began as belonging to a like-minded community from different continents, has evolved into an important and vital appointment with and for myself.
I have discovered enchantment in the ordinary that surrounds us.
YCWT is so much more than a gentle reminder for daily walks and a physical journey exploring your surroundings in new and unexpected, surprising ways; it is a priceless, self-accepting, self-embracing inner journey where healing, restoration and vitalization takes place within your heart, soul, mind and spirit.
YCWT gives you keys to practical self-care to unlock the best version of you that you can ever be.“
– Hettie | Johannesburg, South Africa
“What a lovely experience! It changed the way I looked at my everyday, familiar surroundings.
Just focusing on something else for a change made my world a whole lot bigger, and so much more interesting.”
– Franci | Hartenbos, South Africa
“To my delight, I thoroughly enjoyed slowing down and taking in all the unseen beauty that is around me. I also enjoyed sharing my interpretation of what is beautiful.
My epiphany was acknowledging that not every form of workout is a race to the finish line. The beauty is in the journey.”
– Debi | Philadelphia, PA, USA
“I’ve worked with Marianne before, and completed her weeklong challenge, so I knew the YCWT would be awesome and inspiring. I have to confess, however, I wasn’t sure that I was up for 52 weeks. I am soo glad I signed up! And I’ve already signed up for next year!!
The weekly prompts and community are great motivation to get up and move, even when I feel like I don’t have the time or energy. It’s amazing what even a short contemplative walk can do for body, mind, and spirit!
Reflecting and sharing within the FB community is a fun way for me to track my progress. And I really enjoyed seeing what others around the world shared. It’s a great reminder that no distance is too long and small steps will get us where we want to go. Thanks, Marianne!
